Back in June, there was all this talk about the full moon, calling it the Strawberry Moon, and sometimes the Honey Moon. Imagine, as the summer wears on, the sky filled with fish. Sounds like a dream… ahh… summer. Well, dream no more! One of the nicknames for August’s full moon, which is tonight, is the Full Sturgeon Moon. Really, it’s true. It’s a strange one, but it got its name from the Native Americans of what’s now the northern US finding the could more easily fish for sturgeon. There’ll continue to be no fish on the Moon. Enjoy it, and clear skies, everyone!
