Jupiter in Tonight’s Sunset

It’s been a really hot and humid stretch up around my sun-drenched corner of the world. “The grass is crunching underfoot” isn’t quite as cozy as it sounds, but then, it’s July. This evening, some thunderstorms rolled through, broke the swelter a bit, and left us with this sunset.

If you look closer, though, you can see something a little bit special. Through the glowing sky, through the clouds, near those couple of clouds in the middle that look kind of like a turtle, there’s Jupiter. Here’s a close up.

Sometimes the skies can still surprise you.

Not-so-clear skies, everyone!
